Penrhos Craft Gin Seeks First 'Chief Gin Taster' In Dream Job Opportunity
Do you drink, pray, live about gin? Do you dream about becoming a ‘gin-fluencer’? Do you hope your next job lifts your spirits in a way your current one doesn’t? Well, we have the job for you - or rather… Penrhos Craft Gin does.
The award-winning gin based in Herefordshire is launching a nationwide search for their first ever, remote-working ‘Chief Gin Taster’. No formal qualifications are required, just a love of the spirit and an enthusiasm for craft spirits Available for application from any UK resident aged 25 and over.

"Our Chief Gin Taster will play a crucial role in helping to develop new flavours for our ever-expanding portfolio and ensuring each one meets our exacting standards.”
Penrhos Gin - known for its imperfectly perfect fruit flavours, grown on their family farm, that are unable to be sold to mainstream supermarkets and made into their beautifully crafted fruit gins including their hero Wonky Raspberry Gin, which has just landed a permanent listing in over 400 Sainsbury’s stores, as well as their OG London Dry.

With their innovation for unique and fruit-forward flavours, Penrhos Gin has an impressive portfolio of Gin (and Gin Liqueurs) including: Rhubarb and Apple, Cloudy Rhubarb, Apple and Elderflower, and Blueberry and are looking for their new Chief Gin Taster to help with future flavour development.
"Being our Gin Taster isn't just about tasting gin – it's about helping shape the future of our portfolio of craft spirits," adds Harriet. "We're looking for individuals who can distinguish subtle flavour notes, can suggest new and unique flavours and aren't afraid to provide honest, detailed feedback."
The Gin Taster will require working a minimum of six remote gin tastings equating to approximately 4 days per year and can be done at a time that suits the winning candidate.
