Our Favourite Products Of 2025 (So Far)
Determined not to let our 2025 New Year’s Resolutions fail by the end of January - we made one that we can’t break: to try as many new (and delicious) food and drink products as possible; we are proud to announce we are sailing through them - in fact, we might go as far to say we are excelling at it! So much so that as it stands, on 2nd week of January, we have already stuffed our faces with as many fabulous foodie finds and delicious drinks as we can manage and have popped them together in our Top Products of the Year (so far) - because they say… if you write about your New Years Resolutions on the internet, you’re more likely to continue to keep them; this is one we want to continue as far into 2025 as possible.
Good Guys Biscuits Melts
Now, we couldn’t pick a favourite flavour here if we tried - they are all just so good in their own way. If you haven’t tried Good Guys Biscuits Melts yet - where have you been? Get down to your local Sainsbury’s or pop an order on Ocado (or Amazon) and get these in your mouth. Made for ‘sofa grazing’, Good Guys Melts are Moorish and melt-in-the-mouth. The Black Pepper packs a punch, the Paprika are rich and smokey, and the Cheese balance the sweet and nutty notes of a good cheddar without being overpowering. Enjoy them on their own as a snack or pair them with your favourite dips and chutneys.
Tom Parker Creamery - Double Cream
Although we are equally in love with their Single Cream, Tom Parker Creamery’s Double Cream (which is award-winning) is 100% cream-of-the-crop. We whipped, dolloped and poured it over everything from Mince Pies to Yule Logs and everything in between over the Christmas period - and no Veganuary is going to stop us from doing so as we enter the New Year. Made using only free-range British whole milk from grass-fed cows, Tom Parker Creamery prides itself on creating luxuriously silky, smooth cream without ever compromising on the quality or the taste. We also think it’s udder-ly fantastic that they play music to their cows - which has been proven to calm and relax them.
Seggiano - Tomato Pesto
Renowned Italian brand Seggiano (we are obsessed with their Chestnut Panettone that graced our table this Christmas) is the G.O.A.T for artisan products from across Italy - focussing on organic, sustainable and transparent culinary experiences; their Tomato Pesto, which is gluten-free, vegan and free from chemicals or pesticides is on-the-top of our list right now. Made without cheese, this Ligurian red pesto has been made with a creamy nut base with fresh tomatoes and fresh basil - you won’t even miss the cheese as it’s packed with fresh, delicate but sweet flavours, making it a great pick for anyone and everyone.
Fairfields Farm - Prawn Cocktail
Now we are massive fans of Fairfields Farm over here at Consommé; their Christmas Edition - Maple Glazed Ham kept us snack-happy all the way through to the New Year - but we have recently discovered their Prawn Cocktail flavour (which launched in May last year) that is sure to be a hit of lunchboxes and picnics-a-plenty come Summer. This classic take on the Prawn Cocktail, a nostalgic and favourite choice, is absolutely bursting with flavour. Fairfields Farm’s special recipe combines sweet tomato, vinegar, and spices, perfectly coating each skin-on crunchy potato crisp.
Wensleydale Creamery’s Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries
We are obsessed with Wensleydale Creamery’s cheese - especially this Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries. They have perfectly married the creamy and crumbly cheese with the tang of the cranberries for a delightfully rich, sweet and fruity cheese that is perfect all year round. Each wedge is studded with plump cranberries that add a beautiful finish to an already deliciously and surprisingly light cheese.
Tracklements - The Gardener’s Collection
We always have at least two or three jars of Tracklements on the go at any time of the year, and as we head into the new year, we are looking for more fresh options to counterbalance the rich opulence of the past few months; Tracklements The Gardener’s Collection is the perfect trio for this. Containing Zingy Rosemary Jelly, Country Garden Chutney and Green Tomato Chutney, you have everything you need to accompany cheeses, meats, pasta, salad and even soup. We love stirring a big spoon into our favourite winter dishes to lift them up and add a light and fresh note.
unearthed® - Jamon Serrano Gran Reserva & Caprese Salad
Products that were hot favourites on our buffet table, we are taking both into 2025 and adding them into sandwiches, salads and just straight into our mouths. The Jamon, rich and flavourful, melt-in-the-mouth with delicate nutty undertones and the Caprese Salad, comprised of juicy tomatoes floating in rich olive oil and basil and creamy thick balls of Mozzarella - both fantastic and adds a little bit of Spanish tapas to the every day.
Copas Small Batch Rosemary Gin
This beautiful gin was created to reflect the high welfare, free-range ethos of Copas Farm. Now it may seem a little unusual for a poultry farm to be crafting gin, but they put the same focus on time and flavour in everything they do. Their poultry is given the time to grow and mature naturally, which enhances its flavour and texture, and they ensure the same time is given to infusing the herbs and botanicals in this gin giving it a light, scented freshness with hints of the wild outdoors. The bushy-grown herbs give a delicate herbaceous nose, while the citrus ensures a fresh and clean finish.
Polli - Cherry Tomatoes in Oil
If it was acceptable to eat these Cherry Tomatoes in Oil straight out of the jar as a midnight snack, I would. These are quickly becoming one of my all-time favourites. They are rich and sweet, juicy and packed full of this perfectly balanced herb and garlic flavour. You get chewy parts from being sundried but plumped up from the oil, adding a great texture to whatever you are putting them in. I’ve had them with cheese and crackers, in salads and even cooked through an elevated Spaghetti Bolognese sauce. They are super versatile and delicious; will be a store cupboard staple for the foreseeable.
Philip Warren Butchers - Pigs In Blankets
Here’s our official petition that Pigs in Blankets should be an all-year-round food and not just saved for the Festive period; with Philip Warren Butchers’ Pigs, you would completely understand why we are a stan of the blankets. Rich, plump and thick sausages wrapped in even thicker Cornish-cured bacon making mouth-watering piggies no matter if you air-fry, over-bake, stove-top or BBQ. Known for supplying some of the greats including Paul Ainsworth you can be sure you are getting the highest of quality with anything from Philip Warren Butchers.
Ivy’s Reserve Salted Farmhouse Butter
Now if our word isn’t good enough - Ivy’s Reserve Salted Farmhouse Butter has over 150 different awards - everything from exceptional flavour to outstanding premium quality and we can 100% see why it’s recognised as one of the World’s Best. Created using Ivy’s secret family recipe and made by Ivy’s grandsons - you get a rich, decadent and lightly salted butter with a smooth texture which leaves the palate clean and pairs perfectly with a wide range of products - in fact, we are yet to find something it doesn’t work great with.
