The Festive Taste of London Is Back This Weekend: Here's Everything To See, Eat and Do
Dubbed as ‘one of the world’s greatest food festivals’ The Taste of London is back and better than ever before. Returning to its festive home: Tobacco Dock between the 18th - 21st November 2021, get ready for four days of feasting across six delicious sessions in the ultimate paradise for foodies and the perfect place to start your festivities (there will even be carolling and fake snow to really set the mood!)
Showcasing the biggest and brightest names across the food scene, you can expect to dine on exclusive and limited edition dishes from some of the top restaurants: Hoppers, Leong’s Legend, Cut + Grind Burgers and Mr Ji and top chefs: Simon Stallard, Nitisha Patel and DJ BBQ.
Each year, Taste of London introduce unique immersive pop-ups and events that are so to delight all ages. Make sure to pop by the First Ever Sprout Bar to get into the festive spirit - or Bombay Sapphire Gin Bar or Grey Goose Alphine Chalet for a different type of spirit.
Need something else to warm your cockles? Make sure to take part in Shake Your Putt’s 9-hole crazy golf (which comes with 2 drinks included - so you can blame the blurry eyes for your missed holes) or take part in one of many masterclasses happening around the site. Around The Barrel will be hosting their infamous Wine Tasting Masterclass, Patrón Tequila will be offering bespoke cocktail masterclasses as well as a little taste of Mexico in the centre of the show and who can forget Champagne Laurent-Perrier’s very own Après Ski Club House with iconic ‘bubble’ hat and cosy festive champagne bar.
We are adding Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC to our schedule. Hosted by Consommé regulars The Wine Tipster Neil Phillips and Italian Embassy Chef Danilo Cortellini for an incredible Cheese and Wine feast - we have even heard rumours about sparkling gold cheese to go alongside their sparkling wine selection.
Make sure to stop by the Fire Pit - not only to enjoy the warmth - but to catch a glimpse of some of the most impressive live demos you will see this year. From Tiny Rebel’s flame-fuelled demonstrations with delicious dishes from Ryan Riley, Ivan Tisdall Does and Chris Taylor & Matt Williams (check the schedule for the day you are attending for different times and guest appearances).
Wonder around the artisan producers to do a little bit of festive tasting and shopping (and tasting some more). From best-loved favourites to brand-new brands ranging from specialised spirits to tantalising treats there is something for everyone. Jim and Tonic will be giving away tasters of their roaring twenty inspired cocktails, Pan-n-Ice will be hand-rolling their infamous fried ice-cream rolls and Boom Sauces will be showcasing their deliciously spicy Trinidadian hot sauces. And who can forget the star of Taste - Joe and Seph’s who line their stand with delicious popcorns from alcohol-infused and unique concoctions. They are known for their jars and jars… and jars of popcorns all for tasting. This year they have their brand new chocolate star bites and bubbling bucks fizz caramel sauces.
And after you have worked up a proper appetite make sure to grab a bite from one of the many restaurant stands. We have our eye on the Spicy Kimchi from Toastie Toastie, the Pork Shoulder Doughnut with a Secret London Exclusive Picanha Flatbread from From The Ashes finished with Coffee Addict’s Classic Fluffy Japanese Pancake.
And to finally top it all off - there will be live entertainment from everyone’s favourite piano masters Michael G. Moore and Danny Mills, with live music and DJ’s throughout and even late-night after parties in the Lock Inn (Saturday only 23:00-01:00).
Make sure to check out their range of dining and festive party packages to get the most of your day (tickets start from £17) - and our top tip: try everything!
